On the Road Again...

October is my birthday month so the office staff and the mission nurses threw me a little surprise party complete with balloons and a Tres Leches Cake!  It made my day and was definitely a birthday to remember!

October was interview month so we were back on the road.  We saw lots of beautiful scenery and encountered a few obstacles in the road.  There's never a dull moment when traveling in Honduras.  There are always a few surprises!

Off the coast of Trujillo - the furthest area east in our mission.

The coastline of La Ceiba

We had to take a little detour while workers removed a very large tree that had fallen across the road during a big storm.

These are some of the obstacles we regularly share the road with on our travels.

We had a great time visiting with all the elders and hermanas in the mission over the past month. I am sorry to report that I am terrible at remembering to take pictures along the way, but the missionaries in Tocoa and Olanchito made sure we got a couple of snapshots to remember our time together.
