Multi-Zone Christmas Conferences

The first of our Multi-Zone Christmas Conferences took place in La Lima with the El Carmen, Satélite and La Lima Zones.  We met together as we listened to Christmas messages from President Carlisle and me. We sang Christmas carols and watched a couple of Church produced Christmas videos.  Each of the Zones shared their talents by preparing special musical numbers to share with the others.  The missionaries then enjoyed watching videos of each zone as they participated in community service projects during the weeks prior to the conferences. We were treated to a delicious holiday meal of chicken, sweet potatoes, salad, rice and dessert.  The missionaries were asked to make a homemade gift to exchange with another missionary.  We listened to a story while passing their gifts to the left and right and when the story ended, the missionary got to open and keep the gift they had in their hands. We then had a special testimony meeting and ended the conference enjoying ice cream sundaes complete with whipped cream and maraschino cherries.
A good time was had by all and they left feeling inspired and revitalized by the spirit of the holiday.

We spent a wonderful week in these Multi-Zone Conferences that were filled with the Christmas spirit and the Spirit of Christ.  We feel so blessed to be able to serve alongside these amazing missionaries and appreciate the sacrifice and dedication of each of them.  We hope you feel the love of our Savior this Christmas season and that you will join us in sharing His light and love as you serve and share the gospel message with others.

Sending love and wishes for a prosperous New Year!

Bring It!

After changes and transfers, we invite all of the new District Leaders in for special training.  We love opportunities to see these missionaries teach each other and develop leadership skills.

And they are off to assume their new responsibilities!

Goodbyes Are Never Easy!

We were sad to see this great group of missionaries leave this week.  We have loved serving with all of them and enjoyed having them in our home for their farewell dinner.  We enjoyed singing Christmas Carols together and then we always end the evening with a testimony meeting - a very sacred time.  We love you all and wish you the best as you return home to find different ways to serve your Heavenly Father and share the Gospel with His children.

Until we meet again....
