Lighting the World!

We got to welcome a new group of missionaries to our mission today!  We have three sisters and fourteen elders.  They are an impressive group and were so excited to finally get to work teaching repentance and baptizing converts.  They arrived at the airport near San Pedro Sula at 6:35 a.m. and were whisked off for a morning of training.  Following our traditional Baleada breakfast, a snack and a delicious chicken lunch, they were off to their new areas.

  2. Oh thank you soooo much for posting on this blog! Yes,it's true, my son, Israel, (Elder Garcia) is there with you in the batch of new arrivals! I've been just a little (ok, a lot, really) anxious to see his face closer up than a 5 yards-away-group-photo for so long ~ i know it's silly, clearly he's still alive and capable of standing up, lol, but for some reason, for me, the close-ups provide a happier inspection of his well-being. I can tell if his cheeks are sallow or if his eyes are happy, or if he looks sickly or healthy. (I'm really not as clingy as this makes me sound, i think....i'm just a mom missing her son ~ :-D ). Anyway, thank you for the blog post (& the email with pics!!!)~ it's so awesome to see that he's alive & well, and arrived safely. I'm sure that you have many many duties as the President's wife, but i am particularly grateful for this one. :-D
