The preferred method for shipping parcels to your missionary from the United States is ALWAYS the US Postal Service "International Priority Mail".  Your package will usually be delivered to the mission office within two weeks with NO ADDITIONAL duties or taxes due.  The USPS will provide you with a tracking number. Please feel free to contact us with the tracking number on any parcels not delivered within a month.  Parcels shipped during the Christmas season should be shipped no less than six weeks early.  Please keep in mind, after we receive your missionary's parcel in the office, we need to reship it or deliver it to your missionary.  Since virtually none of our missionary residences have a physical address, it is impossible for you to ship your parcels directly to your missionary.

PLEASE DO NO USE any of the expedited shipping services such as FedEx, UPS, or DHL.  Each of these carriers will always require a full Honduran customs inspection at which time they will usually charge a 100% tax of the retail value of the merchandise being shipped.  It is also customary for the carrier to add additional storage fees while it is in customs and brokerage fees.  The end result for you is considerable delays in delivery and huge additional expenses.

  1. Hi Sister Carlisle. My brother is going to arrive to the mission this week. We are planning send him a parcel through DHL, we live in Mexico so the parcel would be shipped since here. Do you recomend send the parcel by the Mexican Postal Service, too?
